How To Set up a WordPress Website: Part Two Hosting Service and C-Panel
After you have your keywords and have decided on a domain name, the next step is to sign up for web hosting service to host your site. There are many hosting services, but the two that I use are BlueHost and HostGator. In this video I show how to sign up for hosting and how to navigate your hosting control panel.
BlueHost: The Best Web Hosting for Small Business Owners
There are two things that I like about the BlueHost C-panel that other hosting C-panels don’t offer. First, BlueHost has a built in FTP client so you can upload themes, plugins, files, and folders right from your C-panel. The second thing that I like is being able to purchase and add new domains right from the C-panel.
BlueHost.com offers professional web hosting, and they are currently offering that for under $6.00 per month (as of June 8, 2011). BlueHost has been providing web hosting services for businesses and individuals since 1996. They claim over 20,000 new customers a month.
With unlimited domain hosting, unlimited gigabytes of hosting space, unlimited file transfer, and unlimited e-mail accounts, BlueHost is a company you should consider when shopping for a web hosting and other services. It’s a good destination when considering your next move toward starting any kind of website, whether it’s a blog or for e-commerce.
In addition to the features mentioned above, BlueHost also includes a free domain name (which they can help you find on their site), free Site Builder with templates, and a $75 Google credit.
Affiliate Disclosure: I personally use the downloadable products that I promote on this site. I am grateful to be of service and bring you as much content free of charge. In order to do this, please note that when you click links and purchase items, in most (not all) cases I will receive a referral commission. Your support in purchasing through these links enables me to keep my design and website maintenance prices ridiculously low and provide free content that empowers more people in building and developing their own small business and internet marketing websites.
Thank you!
